quick easy home made
ice cream
Ingredients
1 ½ c. soymilk
¾ c. sugar
½ tsp. salt
1 c. heavy cream (or ½ & ½)
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 ½ c yoghurt
Optional: 1 banana & ¼ c. walnuts
Directions:
Scald milk (until
edges bubble). Remove from heat. Mix in sugar and salt til dissolved. Stir/mix
in cream, yoghurt and flavoring. Cover. Refrigerate 30 minutes.
Electric ice cream
machine can be used as directed just pour complete mixture in and let it churn
for 20-30 minutes. Soft serve
immediately or put in freezer for later.
Possible substutions
can be made: regular milk for soymilk. Whipping cream instead of yoghurt, ½ &
½ for heavy cream, any fruit or nut and
of any flavoring of your choice.
